Looks like Lorde and Selena Gomez aren’t going to be besties anytime soon!
A new celebrity feud could be in the works after NZ teen singer/songwriter Lorde made some less than flattering remarks about Selena’s current hit song, ‘Come And Get It’.
Not that long ago Selena showed her love for Lorde’s breakthrough song ‘Royals’ by performing a cover of it at her Amsterdam concert.
So it made sense then that Lorde was recently asked in return about her thoughts on Selena’s music.
However, rather than play it coy Lorde ripped in saying:
"I love pop music on a sonic level. But I’m a feminist and the theme of her song [Come & Get It] is, ‘When you’re ready come and get it from me.’ I’m sick of women being portrayed this way."
You’ve gotta give it to her – Lorde isn’t afraid to speak her mind!
We just wonder how the Selenitas (aka Selena’s fans) will respond… but to be honest it wouldn’t be the first time Lorde has had a run-in with a celebrity’s fan base!
