What did Miley Cyrus' famous dad think of her raunchy and epic MTV Video Music Awards performance Sunday night?
Billy Ray Cyrus talked to Entertainment Tonight about his daughter's interesting gig at the VMAs and his reaction to her booty-dancing and barely-there outfit wasn't really what you'd expect from a dad who just saw his daughter doing all of THAT!
"She's still my little girl and I'm still her dad regardless how this circus we call show business plays out. I love her unconditionally and that will never change," he said.
Miley also posted a tweet that seemed to show him sticking up for her on-stage raunchiness.
"'Mile, if twerkin woulda been invented.... And I had a foam finger.... I woulda done the same thang you did.' - DAD," she posted.
LOL! Not the typical dad response, but okay! It totally seems like he's a pretty cool dad to us. We can't help but notice that it DOES sound like he wasn't all that happy about the performance at first though...especially compared to what Miley's mom, Tish Cyrus, thought!
"She's so cool and so awesome...I'm so proud of her, and just honestly, I'm in awe of who she's become as a performer," she said to GossipDavid.com right after the awards show.
From the comments we've seen online and heard from our friends, it seems like a lot of people didn't see Miley's performance the way Miley's parents did. Just ask other celebs like Kelly Osbourne and Kelly Clarkson, who both recently spoke out about Miss Cyrus' crazy VMA shin-dig too!
