Oh, young love. Justin Bieber appeared somber when he arrived at on-again, off-again girlfriend Selena Gomez’s birthday bash in Malibu, Calif., on Saturday.
The 19-year-old pop star carried his heart on his sleeve and one red rose in his hand for the songstress, who celebrated the big 2-1 in a gypsy-themed fiesta at Revolve Beach House.
“Justin flew in specifically for the party on a day off from his tour,” a source told Us Weekly. “He wasn’t dressed in costume, but carried a single red rose in his hand.”
Bieber made a fashionably late entrance to the party, with his friends and bodyguards riding in his cheetah print Audi R8, according to E! News.
The star-studded celebration also included Julianne Hough, Nina Dobrev, Derek Hough, Ashley Benson and Jaden Smith.
“Everybody danced and had a blast, especially Selena, who was surrounded by her friends,” the Us insider added.
The shindig reportedly included belly dancers, mermaids, snakes and henna tattoo artists.
A friend to both Gomez and Bieber, Smith supposedly helped the pair sneak out of the house together under a blanket and an umbrella at the end of the evening.
According to E!, the duo was seen getting into the same car around 2 a.m., and Gomez reportedly spent the night at the “Boyfriend” singer’s Calabasas home.
Still, the “Come & Get It” singer professes that they are no longer an item. She recently opened up to Ryan Seacrest in an interview and confirmed she was not involved with Bieber anymore.
When the TV personality asked, “Are you with Justin, or are you not with Justin?” Gomez answered, “No, I’m not.”
