Demi Lovato Strep Throat: Cancels Fourth of July Performance

Sorry, Lovatics. Demi Lovato had to cancel her July 4th performance in Philadelphia due to strep throat.

Demi has been tweeting about being sick and we know she hates to cancel anything, so it must be fairly serious.

Demi tweeted yesterday: "Chills + fever + gross looking tonsils... = no bueno....Mooooommmmmm????!!!!?!!?"

Aw.

She added, "Sucks being so sick when you're alone and away from home. 😣 someone... come hold meeeeee... And bring me soup!!!"

When a fan suggested she sleep, Demi said, "I can't sleep cause my throat hurts!!! :("

Get well soon, Demi!

Demi was to perform at Philadelphia's annual free Fourth of July concert, but has been replaced by country singer Hunter Hayes.

The Independence Day concert includes Ne-Yo, John Mayer and J. Cole, as well as The Roots, Jill Scott Grace Potter and Ben Taylor.
