As we reported last week, after being best man at his mum Anne Cox’s wedding to her long-term partner Robin Twist, One Direction star Harry Styles uploaded a funny montage video to Vine which showed the wedding guests – including himself – enjoying the veritable feast on offer during the reception…
And it’s been revealed today that Harry earned his dinner by “having everyone roaring with laughter” when he gave his best man speech at the lavish do in Congleton…
Speaking to The Sun’s TV Biz, Andy Pear, the owner of Pecks restaurant – the venue where Anne and Robin held their reception – said of Harry, “His speech was very witty. He had everyone roaring with laughter.
“And it was very emotional — people were in tears. He comes across as a very intelligent, engaging young man.
“He wrote the speech himself and it lasted around ten minutes.”
The paper adds, “Harry has confessed his mum is one of his best friends and once said: ‘I tell her everything and she knows the truth.’”
But of course, with the wedding now over, it’s back to work for Harry and his 1D band mates Louis Tomlinson, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan and Liam Payne, who are to perform live in Mexico for two nights before having four days off.
