One Direction sign publishing deals

One Direction look set to boost their bank balances after signing individual publishing deals.

The boyband - Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, Zayn Malik and Niall Horan - have now made arrangements with a song publishing company to ensure they will profit from all songs they have a credit for writing - not as a band, but as individuals, reported The Sun.

A source said: "This is a real statement of intent from the band.

"They have absolutely no intention of being spoon-fed pop puppets. They want to write and they want to earn as individuals."

The singers will also be raking in the money after unveiling their new ladies' fragrance, Our Moment, which will go on sale in August.

Niall tweeted about the scent: "I've tested it on my family and they love it - and we can't wait to show it to our fans across the world."
