Every day, it seems, tabloids and blogs speculate whether Miley Cyrus is still engaged to her hunky fiance, Liam Hemsworth. One day, she's flashing her ring. The next, it's a bare finger on display.
But at least we know one marriage in the family is over: her parents, Tish and Billy Ray are splitting up after almost two decades of off and on togetherness.
"This is a personal matter and we are working to find a resolution that is in the best interest of our family. We ask that you respect our privacy at this time," Mrs. Cyrus told People.
Call it the competition of oddly similar statements. In a separate one, her soon-to-be ex tells the magazine: "This is a personal matter and we are doing what is in the best interest of our family. We ask that you respect our privacy at this time."
Miley, meanwhile, remains ever-cryptic on Twitter. "When I was a little girl I used to run around saying 'I ain't scurred of nuffin' #somethingsneverchange," she posted on June 9. Her new single We Can't Stop is out now.
