The star singers from the East and West warm up the pages for the new seasons.
POP Magazine captured the two biggest names in the young pop scene from the both hemispheres as their cover girls for their Spring/Summer issue.
Pop princess Taylor Swift unites with K-pop starlet HyunA on the cover of the British fashion magazine. HyunA’s a K-Pop provocateur in the East, blowing up thanks to her appearance in Psy′s “Gangnam Style” music video and confident and unique Korean style.
HyunA and Taylor follow in the glittering footsteps of Britney Spears, Madonna, Kylie Minogue, Jennifer Lopez and Elton John. All have graced the glossy cover of POP. On the bi-annual glossy cover Swift strikes a stern pose in a graphic back and white checkered Louis Vuitton number and pale yellow purse while HyunA poses similarly in a grey and white leopard print shirt and pink heart chocker necklace.
While playing the part of a cover girl is just your average Tuesday afternoon for Swift, it is a new luxury for HyunA. Although the “Ice Cream” singer has more than 1.2 billion views on YouTube she has yet to pierce the global market. However this will soon change. She’s planning her global debut, having met with PSY and Bieber’s manager, Scooter Braun back in November and is learning English. HyunA is certainly one to watch.
