Selena Gomez wins at Kids' Choice Awards


Selena Gomez won the award for Favorite Television Actress as the 26th Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards, held in Los Angeles, Calif., on March 23, 2013. The Kids' Choice Awards were televised live on Nickelodeon, a cable television network that features kid friendly programming.

Popular singer/actress Selena Gomez looked fresh and chic on the purple and orange carpet, wearing a top and shorts by Oscar de la Renta, heels by Gucci, hoop earrings by Melinda Maria and necklace and rings by Dana Rebecca Designs. Selena posed with Favorite Movie Actress winner Kristen Stewart and Favorite Female Singer Katy Perry. Attached is a picture slideshow of Selena Gomez at the Kids' Choice Awards.

Selena Gomez was voted the Favorite Television Actress for the Disney program "Wizards of Waverly Place." Kids still love the show, even though it has been off the air for over a year. Nominees in the Favorite Television Actress category included: Miranda Cosgrove ("iCarly"), Victoria Justice ("Victorious") and Bridgit Mendler.

Selena's latest project is the movie "Spring Breakers," which premiered in theaters on March 22, 2013.

Justin Bieber, Selena's mega pop-star ex-boyfriend, won the Kids' Choice Award for Favorite Male Singer. Bieber was not at the Kids' Choice Awards.

Notable Kids' Choice winners included Johnny Depp for Favorite Movie Actor for "Dark Shadows," "The Hunger Games" for Favorite Movie, Ross Lynch for Favorite TV Actor on "Austin & Ally," "Victorious"for Favorite TV Show and Simon Cowell for Favorite Villain on "The X Factor." The Favorite Song winner was "What Makes You Beautiful," by One Direction.
