Jennifer Lawrence gets a hug from mom Karen as she’s announced as the Best Actress winner at the 2013 Academy Awards held at the Dolby Theatre on Sunday (February 24) in Hollywood.
The 22-year-old actress won the award for her work in the film Silver Linings Playbook, beating out Zero Dark Thirty‘s Jessica Chastain, The Impossible‘s Naomi Watts, Beasts of the Southern Wild‘s Quvenzhane Wallis, and Amour‘s Emmanuelle Riva for the honor.
When she went up to accept her prize, Jennifer slipped up the stairs over her dress and actor Hugh Jackman ran to her rescue!
Earlier in the ceremony, Jennifer took the stage to introduce Adele‘s performance.
