One Direction's Harry Styles became the victim of an over-zealous fan last night (February 26).
The teenager was hit in the groin by a flying shoe while on stage with his bandmates in Glasgow.
The group had just performed 'Last First Kiss' at the SECC Arena, and were taking part in a question and answer session when an object landed on stage.
Styles proceeded to pick it up, telling the audience: "It's a shoe", then questioned why he had only been given one of them.
However, soon after a second shoe was thrown towards the group and hit the singer in the crotch. Styles then comically fell over, while his bandmates looked on in apparent concern.
Liam Payne said: "Well, he has just been assaulted."
Styles was later heard to quip that he is "scared of shoes", before getting up and performing a series of stretches.
One Direction scored their third UK number one single at the weekend with their Comic Relief track 'One Way or Another (Teenage Kicks)'.
