Selena Gomez 'Hoping' To Collaborate With Taylor Swift On New Album

Selena Gomez is determined to make her upcoming new album a smash hit and if that means enlisting her BFF Taylor Swift to feature on the record, then so be it.

The former 'Wizards of Waverly Place' actress is in the midst of putting the finishing touches to her upcoming fourth album but Selena still has high hopes of scoring the biggest collaboration possible.

The 21-year-old, who broke up with Justin Bieber earlier this month, is hopeful that her close friend Taylor Swift will agree to feature on the record.

“I want to [work with Taylor]!” Selena admitted to ET Online. “We should, I have like a month left. She's actually recording too right now, so she's in Nashville, but hopefully.”

Selena added that she hopes to “surprise” people with her new record so is trying her best to remain silent on the details.

“I'm kind of keeping [the new music] under-wraps. I'm not really saying much... because I really want to surprise people,” Selena said.

The 'Love You Like A Love Song' singer caused a stir last weekend when she performed at a UNICEF benefit concert and sang 'Cry Me A River' after reportedly addressing her split with Justin to the crowd, saying she has been going through a tough time.

“I’ve been through a lot the last couple of months. It’s been sad and cool, but interesting. This song definitely speaks to me,” Selena said before launching into the cover of Justin Timberlake's song.

Selena's new album is out in March.
