Making his first public appearance since photos surfaced of him allegedly smoking marijuana, Justin Bieber took to the stage in Salt Lake City, Utah.
After thanking his fans for their continued support, the singer pulled off his top to show his bare torso, to the sold out venue's delight.
Left in just a pair of low slung black jeans with his white underwear showing, Justin entertained the crowd with an array of his chart topping hits on Saturday night.
One day after the photographs surfaced of him reportedly smoking marijuana with friends in a hotel room, the singer took to Twitter to ask his fans for absolution.
On Friday, TMZ released images of the 18-year-old heartthrob puffing on a suspicious cigarette the website claimed contained the illicit drug on the day a paparazzo was killed attempting to photograph him.
In the pictures, which TMZ says were taken on January 2, Justin is seen holding what appears to be a roll-up as he chats with friends inside a hotel room in Newport Beach, California.
Though he didn't address the incident directly, Bieber's series of Twitter admissions early Saturday morning were telling enough.
'Everyday growing and learning. trying to be better. u get knocked down, u get up,' he posted.
He continued, addressing his Beliebers directly and acknowledging he had let his young fans down: 'i see all of u. i hear all of u. i never want to let any of you down. i love u. and..thank u. #beliebers'
The Boyfriend singer then finished off his heart-to-heart, making a resolution for change in the new year.
'Like i said...2013...new challenges. new doubters...Im ready. We are ready. see u all tomorrow and everyday after that. #BELIEVEtour,' he said.
And on the day the photos were taken, but not yet released, Bieber opened up on his Twitter account with a cryptic New Year's resolution.
'another year. another year to be doubted. another year to work hard and prove them wrong. another year we are coming out of the gate strong,' he wrote.
