Taylor Swift accused of stealing lyrics from Matt Nathanson

Taylor Swift has become a fan favorite songwriter among the younger generation of music fans. However, she’s now being accused of stealing her beloved lyrics from singer Matt Nathanson, Perez Hilton reported on Nov. 2.

Taylor is known for being a fan of Matt, and has been seen at his concerts with his lyrics written on her hands. However, is she now using those lyrics for her own songs? In Taylor’s song, “All Too Well,” she sings, “and I forget about you long enough to forget why I needed to."

“She’s definitely a fan…and now she’s a thief,” Matt Nathanson wrote of Taylor Swift, believing that she stole that lyric from his 2003 song, “I Saw,” where he sings "and I'll forget about you long enough to forget why I need to.”

Nathanson is obviously not happy about Swift allegedly borrowing his lyrics. Did Taylor do this on purpose, or was it just a coincidence?

What are your thoughts on Taylor Swift being accused of stealing Matt Nathanson’s lyrics? Do you think she really did it?
