Miley Cyrus shares pictures of her TINY new rescue puppy

She's a huge lover of animals and can't resist doing her bit when it comes to helping rescue dogs.

So fans of Miley Cyrus can hardly be surprised that the pretty young star has adopted yet another canine to add to her growing menagerie.

The former Hannah Montana star, who turned 20 earlier this week, shared pictures of new puppy Penny Lane on her Twitter page.

Miley posted several shots of the adorable pooch on the social networking site, including a picture which demonstrated just how tiny the little dog actually is.

The frame showed Penny Lane standing next to Miley's biggest dog Sophie, who towers over his smaller friend.

And clearly appreciating the comedy of the picture, Miley tweeted: 'Kodak moment!'

Miley had earlier posted a picture of herself cuddling up to the teacup-sized pooch, writing: 'I love Penny Lane ❤ #rescueislove @SpotRescueDogs.'

It was recently claimed that the one thing Miley is insisting upon ahead of marrying The Hunger Games actor Liam Hemsworth is that she has a pre-nuptial agreement which allows her to keep custody of her dogs.

While the pair are deeply in love, it is said that Miley wants to protect both her $130million assets and the dogs they share together if the marriage breaks down.

A source told Life&Style: 'Miley is worth over $130 million and has no plans to lose her nest egg in case of divorce.

'She has a half-dozen dogs that are her babies — she doesn’t want to lose them.'

While the couple haven’t yet set a date, Miley recently revealed she already feels married to the 22-year-old actor.

The singer- who is currently working on a new album - said: "I am married in my heart and my mind. I do everything that I would be if I had the paper, but I want to take the time to actually enjoy it.

'My most important thing right now is ... I want people to hear what I want to say and get my record out, so when there is a time that I can take some time off, I'll feel like I accomplished my stuff.

'Then I can take a break and just enjoy being married for a little while.'
