One Direction have never exchanged Christmas gifts despite forming as a band two years ago.
Liam Payne claims he is too lazy to go shopping for his pop star pals and so has never given Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan or Louis Tomlinson a present during the festive period.
He told Parade: “I don’t think we’ve ever bought each other a Christmas present. If it’s somebody’s birthday, I have to arrange the present - always late because I’m a bit lazy.
“I’m not about to become the Christmas Man as well. That’s too many jobs.”
And while the band has risen to worldwide fame and given their bank balances a hefty boost over the past year, they are not planning anything extravagant for the holidays.
Niall said: “I’ll probably go home to Ireland and to the same thing as every year - drink, eat and sleep a lot.
“[I will] just chill out, become fat. We always go to the pub on Christmas Eve.”
