One Direction Storm Heat's Under-30's Rich List

One Direction have blasted their way into Heat magazine's under-30's British rich list, making their debut in fifth place.

The X Factor group are 2012's highest new entry, sandwiching themselves between Harry Potter beauty Emma Watson and record-breaking songstress Adele - who improved her own position on last year's list by ten places, finishing at No.6.

Harry, Niall, Liam, Louis and Zayn are thought to have collectively pocketed a cool £26,330,000 over the year, sending them soaring past the likes of Cheryl Cole, Leona Lewis and actor Rupert Grint.

Despite 1D's financial success, the lads were no match for Harry Potter himself, with Daniel Radcliffe retaining the top spot after earning an estimated £53.33 million.

Twilight hunk Robert Pattinson was in second place after taking home an estimated £38.733 million, while actress Keira Knightley completes the top three after apparently pocketing £32.7 million.

Heat editor Lucie Cave stated: "In these financially tough times it's good to know that at least somebody is rolling around on carpets woven from gold-plated £50 notes - which is why Heat is delighted to reveal our annual countdown of the richest British celebs under the age of 30.

"One Direction will be thrilled to hear that they've burst into Heat's Rich List as the highest new entry at number five.

"Like any popstars they'll be after the number one spot, of course, but if they keep going the way they have been, that might be a reality in 2013."

Girls Aloud went on to top a mini-list for top earning bands, followed by One Direction, JLS, The Saturdays and The Wanted.

When it comes to US acts, the Olsen Twins came out on top, ahead of Britney Spears, Lady GaGa, Justin Bieber and Miley Cyrus.
