At a fan event in Tokyo, Japan this week, Twilight star Kristen Stewart discussed how she could empathize with her character Bella for loving two men at the same time.
"As a woman, I think it's really important not to discredit feelings," she explained of Bella's love for both Edward and Jacob. "There weren't too many difficulties with the whole love triangle thing. I mean, she needs Jacob in her life."
Naturally people are having a field day with this quote since Stewart, 22, was caught cheating on boyfriend Robert Pattinson this summer with her Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders.
While it's interesting Kristen thinks one shouldn't "discredit" those feelings, it's important to note that she was discussing her character, not her personal life.
"If you can get past conventions and what everyone else is thinking, then you can have what you want," continued Kristen. "[Bella, Edward and Jacob] get to a point where they get to have everything and that's nice."
We're just glad to see she and her on-again beau Rob are at a "nice" point being back together.
Breaking Dawn-Part 2 hits theaters November 16, and we can't wait to see and hear more from the Twilight stars!
