Zac Efron Now In The PHL

Filipino fans of Hollywood actor Zac Efron need not wait any longer as he has finally arrived in the country for his activities as the latest endorser of a local clothing brand and a bit of R&R.

An ABS-CBNNews.com article posted on Sept. 26 reported that Efron arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport “around noon” today with his dad David, manager Jason Barrett, and Hollywood photographer Darren Tieste.

“Well, first of all this trip is an amazing, amazing excuse to go to the Philippines. I have always wanted to visit the Philippines. My dad, who has been to your country several times, has been telling me great stories about it,” the star of the popular “High School Musical” films was quoted to have said.

As soon as the actor landed at the airport, he was reportedly transferred to a private plane en route to Legazpi City in Albay. Efron and his entourage will be staying for "a brief vacation" at the posh Misibis Bay Resorts “as personal guest[s] of Bicolano tycoon Zaldy Co.”

On Saturday evening, Efron will meet his local supporters via a fan conference set by Penshoppe at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.

Efron is the latest prized addition to Penshoppe’s “All Stars” campaign. The past year saw the brand unveil its A-list lineup of endorsers in succession, beginning with Thai actor Mario Maurer, followed by “Gossip Girl” stars Ed Westwick and Leighton Meester, and most recently, “The Vampire Diaries” lead Ian Somerhalder.
