Malik called Styles 'sexy' after the band were asked to describe each other in one word during a part of the show which saw the boys answer fans' questions.
Louis Tomlinson said Zayn was 'kind' while Liam Payne described Niall Horan as 'cute'.
Harry said Liam was 'sensible' while Niall called Louis 'spontaneous'.
The gig last night at London's Roundhouse was the band's first full concert in the UK since January.
Louis told their screaming fans: 'We have spent time outside of the UK and it is incredible to be back in London.'
During the concert the boys performed their biggest hits, including What Makes You Beautiful, One Thing, Na Na Na and Gotta Be You.
They also covered The Zuton's Valerie, Natalie Imbruglia's Torn and Kings Of Leons' Use Somebody.
The band entertained the audience by doing impressions of each other and performing the opening rap from Fresh Prince Of Bel Air.
During a break when Nick and Annie asked them questions sent in by fans via Twitter, Styles also revealed that he would like to change his name to Dave.
Niall said: 'You have helped us so much. This is the best part of what we do, performing for you guys. Hopefully we will see some of you sexy people at our tours.'
The band were forced to release the video for their new single Live While We're Young last night after it was leaked early online.
The song is the first single to be taken from their second album Take Me Home.
