Justin Bieber reportedly offered $25 million to become 'Idol' judge

Justin Bieber is a household name in North America and the world, with millions and millions of screaming fans. Just how much would he be worth to American Idol if he decided to sign on? Well, a reported $25 million dollars is the answer.

Bieber is known to be a huge American Idol fan, often watching it live when he can, DVRing it when he can't. He's performed on the show before, and was apparently considering auditioning for it before he hit jackpot. Now, Idol producers are taking it even further - they want him on the show as a judge. Now, American Idol is nearing its 12th season, and it's starting to lose its ratings. Bieber could be just what they needed to spice things up and draw viewers back in. Unfortunately, it looks like he had to turn them down.

The National Enquirer is reporting that after he was offered the massive paycheck to be a judge, Bieber turned them down, citing his hectic schedule as the reason. According to the Enquirer, he had to say no because of 'upcoming commitments and touring'.

Other young judges that the Idol producers are reportedly looking at are Carly Rae Jepsen and Nick Jonas, but neither would bring in the massive audience that Bieber is sure to. Also, this is always considered rumor until proven, especially as it's being reported from a tabloid. Bieber could still take the gig, provided he was actually offered it in the first place - $25 million dollars is a huge amount to turn down, especially for a couple of years' commitment at most.
