Harry goes ga-ga for Sydney dancer

HE'S the One Direction "romeo" who has left his mark on female fans the world over.
Now Harry Styles has had the tables turned by a flirtatious contestant on The X Factor Australia who tried winking her way into the boy bander's affections, as a cheeky way to get ahead on the talent show.

Briden Starr, a 20-year-old dance teacher from Sydney, used a mentoring session with One Direction in London to target Styles, who is famous for his weakness when it comes to the ladies.

So it came as little surprise when the pop star went ga-ga for the pretty blonde, who is hoping to make it through the "groups" competition, with judge Ronan Keating guiding the way.

During a performance alongside four other girls, Starr (a graduate of Newtown Performing Arts Hight School) only had eyes for Styles, who was clearly played at his own game.

At the end of the routine, a gushing Styles said: "I think I'm in love with them, I'm not even kidding,'' pointing out Starr, his favourite as "definitely the one with the short hair.''

His loved-up response was mocked by his bandmates, who said "that's just because she winks at you''.

Fans of the Channel 7 series will have to wait until Tuesday night to discover whether the wink works for Starr as One Direction deliver their verdict on which groups should go through to the live shows.

Ke$ha, Alicia Keyes and Usher will also feature as mentors on this year's top-rating series.
