Demi Lovato sends her love to Niall Horan but says she’s definitely staying single!

Demi Lovato tweeted Niall Horan last night, telling him of her pride in him and his band.

One Direction announced their next single on Thursday, revealing that it would be titled ‘Live While We’re Young’ and making it available for preorder. Within hours the track was at the top of charts worldwide and yesterday became the fastest selling preorder single in history.

The X Factor USA judge got wind of the news and messaged Horan last night saying:

@NiallOfficial Words can’t describe how excited I am for this album!! Proud of you boys!! :) xx

However, despite the fact that she is obviously fond of the 1D singer and his loving tweet to her last week on her birthday, Demi has insisted that she is not dating Niall and not planning to date anyone for the forseeable future.

In an interview with iVillage the blonde beauty said:

“There’s actually nothing that a guy can do to change my mind right now. It doesn’t matter how frickin’ good-looking you are, or funny, or how in love with them I am. Right now, there’s nobody more important to me than myself and my recovery.”

Poor Niall will be devastated as he admitted last weekend that he ‘wishes’ he could date the American star.

Meanwhile, it seems that Lovato is all about the girl power and wants to be a good role model for younger women.

She added:

“I think that’s a thing that a lot of young girls need to remember. There’s no one more important than themselves, especially when it comes to girls that are in their late teens or early teens and are trying to figure out who they are. It’s really easy to be influenced by a guy that you like, and this is a period of time when you need to figure out yourself. That’s what I’m doing right now.”

Rumours persist that Niall and Demi will enjoy their first official date when they meet at the MTV VMAs next month, as both stars are lined up to perform at the ceremony and will reportedly go out partying afterwards.
