Check out the E! special 15 Awesomest Boy Bands, airing July 24 at 9 p.m. ET/PT--One Direction and The Wanted, of course, make the cut.
Other famous boy bands from years gone by include old school groups like New Edition, New Kids on the Block, Backstreet Boys, 'NSYNC, and Boyz II Men.
E! will count down the boy bands from the last 20 years--but who will land at number one?
The 15 Awesomest Boy Bands special promises "music clips, rare footage and exclusive interviews with some of our favorite performers," according to the E! press release.
E! also shares some great quotes, including AJ McLean of Backstreet Boys saying, "You want it what way? What way do you want it?? [That] song makes no sense..."
The One Direction guys weigh in on their success too, with Zayn Malik sharing, "We were in Ireland, there was a girl by the bus and we waved at her and she fainted."
Niall Horan also notes the fans can be pretty die-hard, saying, "We left Radio City and there were hundreds of girls running after the bus through traffic."
