Demi Lovato channels her inner waitress in a white tuxedo-inspired concert ensemble

She's hosting the Teen Choice Awards tomorrow night.

But Demi Lovato looked more cater-waiter chic than teen pop star in a white tuxedo-inspired ensemble at her Sacramento concert last night.

The singer looked far older than her 19 years as she took the stage at the Power Balance Pavilion, which seats an astounding 17,000 people.

The actress-singer performed at Endfest wearing a white blazer with black lapels and piping over a far more saucy zip-up bustier covered in studs.

Lovato, who dedicated her song Skyscraper to the victims of the Aurora, Colorado cinema shooting, finished off her menswear look with a pair of black slimming shiny spandex leggings, leather knuckle warmers, and high-heeled boots.

'My heart goes out to the people in Colorado right now....so tragic,' The X Factor U.S. judge tweeted to her 8.2million followers earlier yesterday.

Demi's blonde hair revealed some teal ombré extensions - a changed from the pink locks she wore the previous evening in San Jose, where she covered Chris Brown's song Turn Up the Music.

Earlier this week, the former Disney star looked all grown up as she performed at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles while in a fringed black leather jacket and leather mini-skirt.

Her 22-city summer tour, which concludes September 1 in Oregon, has already received favourable reviews due to the troubled star's 'raw and powerful performance'.

She's also received kudos for her musical skills due to the fact that (unlike most of her peers) she can play piano and guitar.

On top of the touring and hosting duties, Demi is also in the process of writing her fourth album and rumour has it she might be serving as bridesmaid for the upcoming nuptials of her friend Miley Cyrus and the teen's new fiancé Liam Hemsworth.

'I don't know when it is. I don't even know if [Miley's] planning it yet. I don't know. You gotta ask her,' Demi recently told a fan who called into Ryan Seacrest's morning radio show.

Her past troubles and stint in rehab have been well-documented, and the singer has revealed she is still facing a daily battle with her demons opening up in her revealing MTV documentary Stay Strong.

During the one-hour special Demi admitted: 'I cannot tell you that I haven’t thrown up since treatment – I cannot tell you that I have not cut myself since treatment.'

'This has been a daily battle.'

The last time Demi, who was diagnosed with bipolar disorder at rehab, went on tour her hectic schedule literally drove her 'insane.'

'I loved it but it was kinda when I got a little crazy and maybe, possibly, out of control.'

'It literally ended up driving me insane.'

Speaking frankly she admitted: 'I was not eating and purging and self-harming.'

It was at this point during a tour in 2010 that her parents stepped in and sat her down telling her they had a plane waiting for her to take her to treatment.

Her reaction was one that many in her position would take she explained: 'I was so mad at my parents I was like "I hate you guys."'

Despite her reluctance, Demi checked in to Timberline Knolls centre in Illinois in October 2010 where she spent the next months working on herself.

However, the young starlet seems to have gotten her life back on track now and will return to her judging duties on the second season if the Fox talent competition show this fall.
