SHEERAN: "I HAVE THREE SONGS FOR ONE DIRECTION'S NEW ALBUM"

ALL FROM THE SAME BATCH AS MOMENTS

With excitement for One Direction's second album building - not being helped by their teasy tweets they keep putting out about it - fans across the globe are hoping for another Ed Sheeran blub-fest, similar to his track Moments that featured on Up All Night.

Well crying lovers, you're in luck. Ed Sheeran exclusively told us at Radio 1's Hackney Weekend that he's got three songs planned for their album - but he doesn't know which ones yet.

"Yeah, I am working with One Direction," he said.

"[The tracks] are actually off the same batch of songs from the song that ended up on their first record, Moments.

"It’s from a whole batch of songs that I wrote when I was about 17 and there are three tunes that I’m gonna record with them."

"I don’t know what’s gonna make the album if any of them make the album, but I’ve got three spaces, yeah.

"It’s just really nice – you know, those songs were never going to get used, so it’s nice that they can use them."

Ed, you absolute dream, we can't frickin' wait.
