Selena Gomez is all grown up.
The former Disney darling smolders on the July cover of Elle, posing inside the magazine’s pages in a series of sexy beach shots that show her looking more mature than most fans are used to seeing.
But when it comes to talking about superstar boyfriend Justin Bieber, the 19-year-old starlet sounds just like any other teenage girl in love.
"If I'll share anything with you, it's just that he really is a hopeless romantic," Gomez told the magazine about her high-profile relationship with the teen heartthrob who seems to have a knack for planning over-the-top dates.
Bieber, 18, once rented out the entire Staples Center in Los Angeles to host a private screening of "Titanic 3D" after Gomez hinted she wanted to watch the movie.
"I had just mentioned it in the car -- all I said is that I really want to see ‘Titanic’ again, and then ..." she recalled.
Gomez, who sizzles in the magazine wearing a red-hot bra and striped pants, also opened up about the difficulties she and her mother encountered before finding fame.
"I can remember about seven times when our car got stuck on the highway because we'd run out of gas money," Gomez said.
"(She) saved up to take me to concerts," the star added about her mother, Mandy. "She took me to museums, aquariums, to teach me about the world, about what's real."
Now that her career has taken off, Gomez said she's ready to break out from playing high school roles.
"I get offered the teenybopper movies, and I've done that," she told the magazine. "I haven't done a mega-hundred-dollar ‘Transformers’ movie, but that's not what I want to do either."
