This time two years ago, no one even knew who they were but today One Direction are global stars.
The British boyband have taken the pop charts by storm and are followed by hardcore fans across the globe, and it seems that their bank accounts reflect this success.
According to The Mirror, the fivesome - who are already worth £32million - are set to double that figure by this time next year due to ongoing world tours, record sales and the success of their DVD.
Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson are currently signed to Simon Cowell's record label Syco in the UK and Columbia Records in the U.S. after reaching the final of the X Factor in 2010.
'We fully expect to double that £32million figure next year,' said boss of Sony Music UK, Nick Gatfield.
'The team around them, including musicians, stylists, producers, tour managers and so on, is 90-strong,' he continued. 'That’s 90 jobs created by these five boys.'
But as well as helping employment, the singers have also been helping themselves to new homes with a few of them splashing out on properties.
Zayn - who is currently dating Little Mix's Perrie Edwards is said to have paid out £2.2million for a new house, whereas Louis spent a bit more on a five bedroom house in North London for £2.5million.
However, curly-haired Harry has been a bit more careful with his earnings and has shelled out just £575,000 for an East London property.
The group are currently still on their Up All Night tour which has seen them go from the UK to Australia and New Zealand and then to Canada.
They're now in the U.S. where they will finish with a show at the Bank Atlantic Center in Sunrise on July 1.
However, in order to double the money, the group will be heading out on another world tour next year starting at London's O2 Arena in February.
Of course, the fact that the group's album Up All Night went to number one in 16 countries also helped their rising bank balance.
But while some members of the band have begun to climb the property ladder, one of them has invested in using Skype.
Niall is said to have been speaking with U.S. star Demi Lovato via the popular software.
According to The Sun, the Irish star said recently: 'We’ve spoken. She’s a cool girl so I got in contact with her. She’s really nice. I don’t know what’s going to happen.
Niall had been asked on U.S. radio to clarify his relationship with the Disney star after they swapped tweets recently.
