One Direction star Niall Horan has revealed that he injured his thumb during some high-spirited backstage pranks while on tour.
Olly Murs, who is supporting the X Factor stars during their tour, told his followers on twitter that he had been involved in a Nerf gun battle with the 1D lads.
The Essex lad tweeted: "Hahaha @Louis_Tomlinson @Real_Liam_Payne its war!! I'm gunna get a Nerf gun lads!! Louis got me right on the back of the head!!" [sic]
The raucous antics apparently continued until the fun was spoiled when Niall Horan injured his thumb.
Band member Liam Payne tweeted an image of Niall holding up his bandaged digit.
He said: "Niall really hurt his thumb."
Zayn Malik recently warned Murs that the One Direction boys would subject him to practical jokes during his stint on tour.
He cautioned: "He should be worried about the pranks cos there are gonna be plenty of them."
