Tottering along on black suede lace-up platforms, she also injected the outfit with bursts of chunky bling with chains around her neck and several bangles on her wrists.
Toying with non-conformity, she appeared to have taken style tips from Avril Lavigne as she showcased pink tinged ends on her long blonde hair.
Prior to the gig, the Camp Rock star had been filming auditions with her fellow reality show panellists.
She tweeted: 'Amazing auditions in SF (San Fransisco) @TheXFactorUSA!!! Counting the days to Providence with X crew @SimonCowell @britneyspears @LA_Reid.'
The This Is Me singer also seemed excited to be on Jersey Shore territory for the Big Apple gig.

Demi is currently on tour promoting her third album Unbroken.
Speaking of the record to MTV News, she said: 'I didn't want to come out with this depressing album.
'I think it's important that I kept a lot of my heart open on the album because I talked about my personal issues. But I also had some fun dance songs on there for people to enjoy.'
