Liam Payne got a nasty surprise when he returned from One Direction's overseas tour.
Liam, 18, had left girlfriend Danielle Peazer, 23, in charge of his 2 pet turtles for the 3 months he was away, but when he got home he found that one of them had chewed the other's foot off.
'We had to split them up - one is biting the other one,' Liam tells The Sun.
'I came home and my turtle was missing a foot. Splitting them is sad, but it's best.'
Dancer Danielle didn't seem too worried about Liam's reaction to finding one of his reptiles was disabled.
Before the 1D star touched down in the UK, she told her 487,108 Twitter followers how much she was looking forward to seeing Liam.
