One Direction were left shaken and upset after being mobbed by fans in New York over the weekend.
Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson and Harry Styles are currently in the US touring their debut album 'Up All Night' when the incident occurred.
The band were enjoying a day off sight seeing in Manhattan when hundreds of teenage fans descended upon them.
According to Press Party, fans got aggressive towards the lads and starting pull on their clothes and trying to grab them as they made their way to a security car.
Members Niall and Liam seemed particulary shaken by the incident as they took to twitter: "That wasn't even funny,'' wrote Liam.
While Niall added: ''This is a complete joke... ridic... Day off, wana chill (sic)"
Later in the day the band seemed to have calmed down and thanked their fans that had camped outside the group's New York hotel. "Love all you mofo's... can hear u singing outside the hotel," he added.
Talking of the tour, Harry admitted he had picked up some tips from Kanye West and Jay Z’s ‘Watch The Throne’ tour. “I went to see the Kanye West and Jay-Z show the other day and it was unbelievable. I think you can take tips from a gig like that,” he said.
“I could try a leather kilt like Kanye. I’ll give it a go.”
