Having enjoyed some time off their hectic work schedule the boys of One Direction are readying their return to the road.
For the single members of the band being on tour is a chance to get to see how girls from around the world differ from girls back home.
But for Louis Tomlinson saying hello to life on tour means saying goodbye to his girlfriend Eleanor Calder.
In what appeared to be a very emotional farewell the One Direction singer and the 19-year-old brunette were seen holding hands and hugging before the singer boarded his plane.
Ready for the long-haul flight, Louis wore a black aviator jacket, with a striped jumper, and a pair of jeans which he folded up to his ankles.
He finished off the outfit with a grey beanie hat and held his guitar which was in a brown bag in one hand.
Playing the role of the devoted girlfriend, Calder helped the 20-year-old megastar hold some of his luggage as they walked through the airport.
As they said their final goodbyes, the young couple were pictured sharing a kiss, and Louis gently planted a kiss on her cheek before departing.
Last month Louis was forced to speak out and defend his love life after a vicious Twitter campaign to get him back with his ex-girlfriend went viral.
The former X Factor star ended up on the receiving end of a bizarre online campaign, with fans telling him he should break up with Eleanor and go back to Hannah Walker, a primary school teaching assistant in his hometown of Doncaster.
Louis told MailOnline he is deeply upset with the Twitter campaign and wanted to set the record straight.
His spokesman added: 'It's upsetting for Louis and Eleanor when Twitter campaigns like this start. I know some of the fans will think it's a bit of fun, but it's unnecessary when they are both very happy together.'
Having settled his issues with his fans in regards to his relationship with his girlfriend, Louis was soon back to his smiley best when the band were greeted by some supported at Heathrow.
Used to sound of screaming fans, the boys looked calm and collected as they said their goodbyes and fooled around with members of their entourage.
Out of all the boys Niall was truly dressed in his best flight gear, as he was pictured in grey jogging bottoms, a navy hoodie, a pair of burgundy trainers and a red fitted cap.
He finished off his look by showing off his superstar style by donning a pair of blacked out sunglasses.
