While modern mixtapes are much closer to lavish studio albums with original beats, rhymes and features (think Rick Ross' Rich Forever), the old school DJ mixtape is still thriving by mashing together current bangers in rapid succession. On a new one entitled We Know The DJ Vol. 2, DJ Tay James gets a hosting spot from G.O.O.D. Music rapper Big Sean, as well as a marquee guest appearance from none other than teen-favorite Justin Bieber.
Other featured artists on the effort include Rick Ross, Rihanna, Drake, Kanye West, 2 Chainz, Future, MGK, Swizz Beatz and Phil Ade.
Tay James, who loudly proclaims his status as "the official DJ for Justin Bieber" on the mixtape's cover art, runs rampant throughout the hip-hop and pop landscape, throwing Rick Ross on Rihanna and Chris Brown's "Birthday Cake" remix and mashing-up a remix to Bieber's megabit "Boyfriend" to name a couple.
