Demi Lovato says her current celebrity crush is Joe Manganiello, not Niall Horan

Not too long ago (before she was named an "X Factor" U.S. judge), 19-year-old Demi Lovato said in an MSN Music online chat in April 2012 that her biggest celebrity crush was One Direction's Niall Horan 18. Before she made that confession, Horan had been saying for months in interviews that Lovato was his biggest celebrity crush, and he and Lovato were reportedly exchanging flirty text messages. But now that Horan is reportedly dating a girl in his hometown of Mullingar, Ireland, there appears to be a change of heart. Lovato is now saying that actor Joe Manganiello, 35, is her current No. 1 celebrity crush. Manganiello is best known for playing the werewolf Alcide Herveaux on the TV series "True Blood."

Lovato mentioned her crush on Manganiello in a 25-minute online video chat presented by Acuvue on May 16, 2012. Lovato answered fans' questions during the chat. (Lovato is a spokesperson for Acuvue.)

When she was asked who is her current celebrity crush, Lovato replied, "There's this guy. I can't pronounce his name. He's on 'True Blood.' I know his name is Joe Manganiello. He's a wolf on the show. He's definitely my celebrity crush at the moment."

She briefly talked about being a judge on "The X Factor" U.S. by saying: "I'm really excited about that. It's an honor to be with the other judges on the panel. Yeah, I'm nervous. It's a big spot to fill in, so it's a little intimidating, but all I can do is be myself."

As previously reported, Lovato and Britney Spears have replaced fired "X Factor" U.S. judges Nicole Scherzinger and Paula Abdul. "The X Factor" executive producer Simon Cowell and Epic Records chairman/CEO Antonio "L.A." Reid are the other two judges on the panel.

The new "X Factor" U.S. judging panel consisting of Cowell, Reid, Spears and Lovato will begin judging contestants at auditions that take place on May 24, 2012, at the Frank Erwin Center in Austin, Texas.

In addition to being on "The X Factor," Lovato is doing a U.S. concert tour this summer, with rock band Hot Chelle Rae as the opening act. She is also scheduled to perform on "Good Morning America's" Summer Concert Series (which ABC televises live from New York City) on July 6, 2012.

During the Acuvue chat, Lovato was asked where she wanted to perform more than anywhere else in the world and with whom she would like most to perform. Lovato answered, "I haven't been to Australia, and I really, really want to go to Australia. And I would love to sing with Kelly Clarkson."

(On December 9, 2011, Clarkson and Lovato performed on stage together at Z100's Jingle Ball at Madison Square Garden in New York City.)

Later in the chat, Lovato was asked which songs most inspired her to be a singer, and Lovato said two of Clarkson's songs: "A Moment Like This" and "The Trouble With Love." Lovato added with a laugh, "If you haven't noticed, I'm kind of obsessed with her."
