Two members One Direction fear for catching Chlamydia after incident in Australia

After a recent trip to Australia, members of the UK boy band One Direction are reportedly fearing about catching Chlamydia.

When the boys were in Australia on tour, Liam Payne and Harry Styles picked up a baby koala, which urinated on them.

This, however, is a health hazard and the two could get Chlamydia from the incident, The Christian Post reports.

The chances are slim that Payne and Styles have the disease, because it’s rare that diseases get passed from koalas to humans. Around 80 percent of koala bears have Chlamydia.

“I’m genuinely scared. This is worrying. I’d have never picked the thing up if I’d known,” Payne told UK’s The Sun.

If a vaccine isn’t developed for the species, they could be extinct in a few decades.

Payne and Styles, both 18, with the rest of the band, Louis Tomlinson, 20, Niall Horan, 18, and Zayn Malik, 19, are no longer in Australia, as they are continuing their tour in New Zealand.

While there, Payne told a local New Zealand TV station that he is confident in his love life, despite the recent incident.

“Louis and I both have girlfriends, so we must be doing something right," he told The Sun.
