Taylor Swift makes a quick run to her local Ralph’s grocery store in Los Angeles on Friday afternoon (February 24).
The 22-year-old musician will be taking a very special date to the 2012 ACM Awards coming up in April — leukemia patient Kevin McGuire!
Taylor was first asked to prom by Kevin, via a Facebook created by his sister, Victoria. And while she had to say no to that, she did make it up to him — in a big way.
“Kevin, I’m so sorry but I won’t be able to make it to your prom,” Taylor wrote on the Facebook page. “But I was wondering, the ACM Awards are coming up. Would you be my date? Love, Taylor”
Kevin told Philly’s CBS, “I don’t know what else to say. I was just trying not to throw up! I have cancer. Cancer doesn’t have me, Taylor, I would love to go with you.”
We can’t wait to see Kevin and Taylor on the carpet!
