Nick Jonas stops by CNN for an interview earlier this week.
The 19-year-old actor/musician, who is currently starring in How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, opened up to anchor Soledad O’Brien about Whitney Houston‘s untimely death.
“I found out, the whole cast of the show found out just before our show and — and so it was extremely tough for all of us just because she’s such an inspiration for all of us as a vocalist,” Nick shared. “And it was one of those things where we all had to take a minute and kind of center ourselves up again and get ready for the show. Because we knew that the audience out there that night would need a bit of encouragement, and uplifting.”
“And she’s an inspiration for so many people,” he added. “And so for her and her family, prayers and blessings to all of them but you know it’s tough. And when you — when you sort of are in this for as long as she’s been in it, there are — there are a lot of things that can become difficult. And I’m sure that being surrounded by the wrong people can also play into that.”
