Every cloud has a silver lining, and for Jonas Brothers fans that lining may be a chance with Nick Jonas.
The 19-year-old recording artist and Broadway star split with Aussie knockout Delta Goodrem earlier this week.
"Nick and Delta have decided to mutually end their relationship," Goodrem's representative announced in a press release. "At this point in time, they are both focused on their careers as they go on different paths."
Jonas and Goodrem, 27, started their 10-month relationship last May. She had been engaged to Irish singer-songwriter Brian McFadden previously.
We certainly hope the split doesn't have anything to do with Nick's rocky tenure as lead man in the Broadway reboot of “How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying.”
The Wyckoff native's stint with the show, slated to run through July, isn't going quite as planned, according to the New York Post: Ticket sales have dropped almost 40 percent since the youngest Jonas Brother took over last month for Darren Criss.
Maybe to help soften the blow of the breakup, Nick recently closed the deal on a lease for a super-swank Chelsea domicile owned by former New York Ranger and New Jersey Devil player Scott Gomez, the Wall Street Journal reported.
Nick got a break on the $23,000 rent on the 2,000 square foot, three bedroom, three bathroom apartment.
He'll only be paying $20,000 per month — talk about a bargain.
For that he'll be getting a fully furnished pad with six TVs, an iPad-controlled lighting and entertainment system with a retractable 120-inch movie screen in the living room.
Sounds like a decent man cave.
Gomez, who currently plays with the Montreal Canadiens and was drafted 27th overall to the Devils in 1998, paid $3.2 million for the penthouse in 2007, according to Curbed.
