He's about to hit it big with The Hunger Games next month, but Liam Hemsworth is worried girlfriend Miley Cyrus doesn't even like the story.
"Well she didn't know about it until I got attached to it," Hemsworth told E! Online last week. "And then she read the book. I hope she liked it. I don't even know. She better watch it!"
The Australian hottie has a string of films in the queue including hits with Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Anthony Hopkins, would he have time to continue with the sequels?
"If it does as well as everyone's expecting it to do, then I imagine they'll go ahead," he said. "I love the books. The books are great, so if we get to shoot all three films I'll be really happy."
Fans clamoring for The Hunger Games has executives hoping they have a Twilight or Harry Potter-esque phenomenon waiting to be unleashed. If it is successful, Hemsworth may be following in the footsteps of Robert Pattinson, floating for a while, handpicking projects, and lacking any sort of private life. Hemsworth's next film, The Expendables 2, comes out in August and should be an indicator of his flexibility and ability to bounce into other roles aside from The Hunger Games. Did we mention that it also stars Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sylvester Stallone, Jean-Claude Van Damme and Bruce Willis, just to name a few?
To take a little bit of the pressure off, BSC Kids reported Tuesday that Cyrus has decided to attend the premiere. While not a big surprise, it's definitely a good show of support on her part after Hemsworth defended her disastrous 19th birthday party in an interview with Details.
"She's in a room full of her best friends," he says angrily. "And you have one person who comes in there and videos it. The poor girl can't have one night where she can feel safe in her own world. It's ridiculous." Good to know you've got such a good guy Miley.
Looks like there's no need to worry after all Liam, she'll be watching with you!
