JUSTIN BIEBER NOMINATED FOR TWO JUNO AWARDS

NEVER SAY NEVER BIEBS!

Just days before the Grammys are handed out in the USA, the nominations for Canada's equivalent - the JUNOs - are out! And guess what, our favourite lad from the land of the moose, is up for not one, but two awards!

Who are we talking about? Duh, Justin Bieber, and he's up for both Album of the Year and the Fan Choice Award.

There's no word yet on whether Biebs will be at the 2012 ceremony, but he certainly knows about his nominations, tweeting: "WE ARE nominated for ALBUM OF THE YEAR for #UnderTheMistletoe & the JUNO FAN CHOICE AWARD #JUNOAwards - THANK YOU! #CANADA."

We think he's quite pleased.

Music isn't necessarily the first thing we'd associate with Canada (more likely moose, maple syrup and maybe some more moose), but there'll be some stiff competition for the Album of the Year category. Nominated for his Christmas album, Under the Mistletoe, Bieber will have to fight off Avril Lavigne's Goodbye Lullaby, Michael Bublé's equally seasonal Christmas, and his old mate Drake's Take Care.

Being up for the Fan Choice Award is a huge compliment as it is the only award voted for by the err..Canadian fans, but he'll have to fight off a pile of other locals including Arcade Fire, Av Lav, deadmau5 and Bublé, to get his hands on the prize.

He did miss out on the other big category though, failing to win a nomination for Artist of the Year, where he would have been up against Feist, City and Colour and Bublé. Again.

And who will be presenting the show? Katy Perry or maybe Lady Gaga..

Err, no. Presumably they're both busy as the JUNOs have gone with Star Trek legend William Shatner instead. Sounds a fairly odd choice but despite not being the slightest bit musical himself, apparently he is a very proud Canadian.

Right.

Do you think Bieber's in with a shot? Or will he end up crying like he did at 2011's ceremony?
