f the world's three major social media categories, Facebook fans is the one Justin Bieber falls a bit behind in. He is leading in YouTube views, comfortably in second in Twitter followers, but sixth in Facebook.
Regardless of his standing the Canadian star, who won't turn 18 until March 1, is closing in on 40,000,000 fans on Facebook, a milestone no one so young has reached before. As of this writing on Feb. 10, 2012, he has 39,987,719 and, given he's adding some 43,500 Facebook fans each and every day he should hit the 40 million mark before we all wake up tomorrow.
Famecount tracks Justin Bieber's social media
This stats come to us courtesy of Famecount, a site that "generates statistics across Facebook, Twitter and YouTube, to help you track the trends and rank the stars." In their listing for the most Facebook Fans the top five are Eminem in first, Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Shakira in fourth and the late Michael Jackson in fifth, just ahead of Bieber.
Bieber is second to Lady Gaga in Twitter followers, as of this writing she has 18,891,111 to his 17,137,319. Katy Perry, Shakira and Kim Kardashian round out the Top 5 in that category. It's with Youtube views that Bieber leads, he has had an astonishing 2,304,744,890 Youtube views. Both Rihanna in second and Lady Gaga in third have also passed that 2 billion mark. Eminem is in fourth in Youtube views and Ray William Johnson is in fifth.
Bieber's song, Baby, is the most watched of all-time on Youtube.
