Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez are showing the world that they're not worried about boy bands becoming more popular than the Biebs -- they recently went on a date to a Big Time Rush concert.
The couple was spotted at one of BTR's concerts in California, but there's no word on if Selena was swooning over one of the guys in the band. It's nice of Justin to take her to see a group of hot guys sing romantic tunes. After all, he's always taking Selena to Hooters so that he can gawk at gorgeous girls.
The Big Time Rush guys should appreciate the publicity they will get from Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez's attendance. Right now they're facing a bit of a threat from two other groups of guys - their future tour mates One Direction are trying to stage a British invasion along with The Wanted.
Justin's teen idol status could also be in danger if boy bandsbecome more popular, but he doesn't seem too worried about them. He obviously likes the BTR guys, because he and Selena recently starred in a silly music video remake with them. In the video, Justin, Selena, and the members of the band can be seen dancing to "Call Me Maybe" by Carly Rae Jepsen, an up-and-coming artist that Justin really loves.
Both Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez have also performed with BTR in the past, so it's not all that surprising that they're trying to be supportive of the guys.
But will the Biebs support Big Time Rush's tour mates One Direction? Justin used to tour with their rivals The Wanted, so he's probably a little torn when it comes to which British boy band to get behind. But it certainly couldn't hurt to try to befriend as many of them as possible. If his next album doesn't do well, perhaps he could join one of them. Plus, he can go drink with one of the British boy bands on his upcoming birthday - the legal drinking age is 18 in the UK.
Justin's presence at the BTR concert could be seen as proof that he's not concerned about losing his teen idol crown to a boy band, but what do you think -- should the Biebs be worried about the rising popularity of boy bands, or should he try to become best bros with all of them?
