The 'It Will Rain' star says he hopes to be inspired by the late singer at this year's ceremony.
Bruno Mars has said he will dedicate his performance at the Grammy Awards in Los Angeles tonight (12th February) to Whitney Houston.
The 'I Will Always Love You' singer died on Saturday (11th February) at the age of 48.
In a message on Twitter, Bruno said: "God give me the strength to lift peoples spirits at The Grammys on a very sad day. Tonight is for Whitney! #TheQueen."
Bruno told his followers earlier today that he was left "sick to my stomach" by the news of Whitney's death.
Whitney Houston's sudden death shocked the music world on Saturday, and came just hours before the singer was due to attend a pre-show party held by her long-time mentor Clive Davis.
There is speculation that Whitney was found in her bath tub, but police have yet to disclose the results of their investigation.
Other performers at this year's Grammy Awards include Adele, Coldplay and Rihanna, and Foo Fighters.
