Selena Gomez is nothing if not extremely grateful for her fans. She even took the time to post a special thank you to them for watching Wizards of Waverly Place throughout its successful four-year run.
According to a report from Hollywood Life, the message appeared on Selena's Facebook page on Friday.
"You Guys, I honestly can't thank you enough for being a part of the best 4 years of my life!" Selena wrote. "Wizards was SO important to me and I'm SO happy so many of you watched the series come to an end. I loved the whole experience and I'm so grateful for it. I love you guys! I hope to continue to do more things you guys enjoy watching! :)"
January 6th saw the final episode of Wizards of Waverly Place aired, and fans learned that Selena's character—Alex Russo—was the sibling allowed to keep her magical powers. The numbers of that evening's viewers ranked phenomenally high, and actually branded Selena Gomez's last shot at playing Alex Russo as the 'most watched finale in Disney Channel history.' More than 9.8 million viewers tuned in to watch the finale.
Selena Gomez is an excellent example of what a solid fan base can do for a celebrity—and she no doubt gained that fan base due in part to the way she treats her fans. She frequently lets them know how important they are to her—via Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram photos—and that seems to count for quite a bit in the fan's eyes.
This latest thank you posted on Facebook lets Selena Gomez's fans know that without their dedication, Wizards of Waverly Place wouldn't have seen such a successful four-year run of solid popularity. Her message of gratitude is truly indicative of who Selena is deep down inside.
