Selena Gomez is nothing if not kindhearted and generous. She recently sent her love to a little girl who is battling cancer. The way the 5-year-old caught the attention of Justin Bieber's girlfriend is heartbreaking.
According to a report from Hollywood Life, little Sophia Pasquarella is fighting leukemia. An avid fan of the former Wizards of Waverly Place star, she even loves singing Selena's songs. In fact, she was recently recorded singing Who Says--and a family member posted the video on Twitter.
The video of Sophia's song made its way to Selena via Twitter. The singer was all too happy to send her a personal reply.
"Sophia you're adorable," Selena Gomez wrote.
Known for her compassion, it's common for Selena to reach out to her young fans--especially those battling life threatening diseases like Sophia. Now it's reported that Sophia's next goal is to actually meet Selena Gomez in person.
It certainly wouldn't be the first time that Selena went out of her way to make a sick fan's dream come true. She recently met with a young girl who suffers from progeria--a disease that makes the body age in rapid succession. Sufferers actually die of 'old age' while they're still very young.
So you think Selena Gomez will make little Sophia Pasquarella's dream come true? It's uncertain if the little girl is battling terminal cancer or if her prognosis is a good one. But that wouldn't matter at all to Selena.
It likely wouldn't surprise most of Selena's fans to learn in the very near future that she has somehow arranged to meet with little Sophia.
