Selena Gomez’s Fans Are Still Blaming Radio Host Kidd Kraddick For Selena’s Mom’s Miscarriage

In a grim example of irony, Selena Gomez‘s mother Mandy Gomez has suffered a miscarriage—just a few weeks after Selena’s fans accused radio host Kidd Kraddick of wanting Mandy to miscarry. The Texas-based radio host never said anything against Selena’s family — something we made clear — but that hasn’t stopped the “Selenators” from assuming that he’s used some sort of voodoo radio magic to cause tragedy in the Gomez family.

For the most part, people tweeting at Kidd seem to be on his side, but there are some fans who are sending him threats reminiscent of three weeks ago. The most damning is this one from a girl who’s obviously a Justin Bieber fan as well:

But this time, Kidd has more support behind him. He responded Please report Thx, and already some of his followers are reporting that user for spam or abuse. These kids operate under such weird motivations; user @CyrusHomie rationalized, to clear up the rumors i don’t hate @KiddKraddick i only stood up for @selenagomez. How does that make any sense? They’re tweeting insults and threats behind the mask of anonymity, and really just for the attention of participating in this fake debate—even if they’re on the wrong side.

Aside from reporting these bullies, Kidd hasn’t released any sort of official statement about Mandy’s miscarriage. And why should he? He never wished their family harm. All he did was make an ill-advised joke with awful timing outside of his control.

But all isn’t lost: @XJBlovers wrote, Kidd, we’re so sorry. We didn’t know it wasn’t true, and RT’ed that tweet. We feel so sorry, we were wrong. Please forgive us? Kidd retweeted it, which seems to be what passes for a truce on Twitter these days.
