Miley Cyrus, who's usually photographed either looking chic and fashionable or sexy and scandalous, looked neither when she stepped out on October 8. Instead, the "Party in the U.S.A" singer looked like she was getting in touch with her "inner grunge."
Miley Cyrus was clad in a sagging V-necked sleeveless gray tee-shirt and loose-fitting pants when she was spotted and snapped in a parking lot in Studio City, California. Miley was obviously in the mood to pay tribute to the late, great 90s grunge rocker, Kurt Cobain, with a giant head shot of the musician emblazoned on her tee. She also wore what looked like a brown blanket. Or, it could have been a poncho. She was accompanied by one of her loving dogs who, unlike his celebrity human mom, looked quite chic indeed.
Of course, La Cyrus can't be blamed for her rather unkempt appearance, because she's spent most of the past 2 weeks travelling--first to Nashville with her boyfriend, Liam Hemsworth, and her parents, and then to Haiti, where she continued her charity efforts on behalf of the earthquake victims there. Recently, Miley Cyrus described her work for the Starkey Hearing Foundation with the following Tweet:
"This second mission to Haiti was just as impactful to me as the first one," wrote Miley. "I grew up around music and couldn't imagine what it would be like for my siblings and me, if we couldn't hear the magic of music. It's had such an influence on my life, that I just want everyone to enjoy sound as it was intended."
Kudos to Miley Cyrus for her contributions and caring for the Haitian relief effort. Perhaps the next time she travels there, she should donate those pants and that poncho thing.
