This is actually quite a bold move for Justin, whose brown shaggy mop of a 'do was his trademark. Nearly every teenage boy copied Justin Bieber's hairstyle, perhaps in an effort to win the same affection the teenage girls showed toward the Canadian pop star.
Justin is getting older now and probably wanted to adopt a different look. Justin has collaborated recently with Chris Brown and Usher, so perhaps he wanted an edgier look. Or maybe he wants to look older, since he's got a cute baby face.
