Justin Bieber and his mentor Usher honored vocal coach Jan Smith as she was inducted into the Georgia Music Hall of Fame at the weekend.
Bieber brought girlfriend Selena Gomez to the party and performed a three-song acoustic set for his voice guru, who appears in his Never Say Never movie. After the performance, Justin tweeted to Jan, “so proud of u and happy for u yesterday. you are my family for life. love you mama j!”
The 17-year-old is currently working with Smith as he records his first Christmas album at her studio. Usher surprised Smith at the ceremony by hitting the stage during her performance of the classic tune Georgia.
